Inviting blackberry and bramble aromas, quite rich and intense - this hasn`t quite shed its post-bottling puppy fat. The palate is fresh, feels tightly wound, very drinkable. Good weight for Pinot Noir, a hallmark of the Chalonnaise. Delicious, drinking now but with another five years or so (and quite possibly more) of pleasure to give. (JH 13/02/2025)
