The 2021 Pinot Noir Newton Johnson Walker Bay is made of predominantly younger fruit with some purchased lots. It has a slightly spicy nose, a little Grenache-like, hints of tomato vine filtering through the red fruit. The palate is well balanced and nicely structured with a delightful, clean cranberry and strawberry opening and a brisk finish. Fine. 89 points
