The 2021 Chardonnay Newton Johnson Southend is purchased grapes from one of the estate`s neighbours. Aged mostly in demi-muids, 10% new, it has a simple but generous bouquet, slightly honeyed in style. The palate has a tropical tinged entry, passion fruit and pineapple, and a slightly waxy texture with peach skin and a light spicy note on the finish. Enjoy over the next four to six years. 89 points
