The 2021 Domeyne has a nicely focused, ripe blackberry and raspberry coulis nose, violet petals emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, and very lithe and smooth, though it manages to avoid being cloying on the finish. This should turn out to be very seductive. Worth looking out for. 90-92 points

A little tart in its fruit structure, expect recurrant and gooseberry alongside sweeter red cherry and raspberry, this is cheerful and bright with a firm tannic structure and juice on the finish. Early to medium term drinking. 40hl/h yield, 50% 1st wine, 20% new oak, 9ha of clay gravel soils owned by Vincent Ginestet. Eric Boissenot consultant. 87 points
