Bottled in July, the 2021 Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits has a light red cherry and blueberry-scented nose. The palate is grainy on the entry, just a little lean on the mid-palate with an abrupt finish. 84-86 points

From low trained vines in Concoeur, bottled at the end of July. Not much frosted, but mange-bourgeon caterpillars did damage instead. Quite a deep colour, quite a full texture on the palate with darker fruit and a little new oak (barrels used here to spare the 1ers Crus). Quite a dark pinot in style. 86 points
