William Kelley
Offering up aromas of sweet berries, spices and loamy soil, the 2021 Beaumont is medium-bodied, lively and nicely balanced, concluding with a discreetly minty finish. The blend is dominated by an unusually high 65% of Cabernet Sauvignon. 87-89 points
Neal Martin
The 2021 Beaumont is much leaner on the nose compared directly with the 2020, though it is well defined, slightly herbaceous and fresh in style. The midweight palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins on the entry and a grainy texture. It attenuates slightly toward the cedary finish. Give this 2–3 years in bottle to see if it fills out. 86-88 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2021 Beaumont is a deep, punchy Haut-Médoc. A blast of dried herbs, charred earth, spice, leather and tobacco hits the palate as this pleasantly rustic wine shows off its considerable personality. The 2021 could be quite good if it comes together with élevage. 88-90 points
