Pre-phylloxera Carricante from vines 100-120 years old, grown at 850 metres above sea level on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna. Reticent and a tad reductive aromas of struck match and river-pebbles, the Archineri Etna Bianco blossoms on the palate, with crisp pear, peach and white grapefruit, zesty and refreshing. A touch of blossom rounds out the finish, which lingers beautifully - delightful! (JH 23/06/22)
