Dark garnet color. Smoke- and spiced-tinged dark fruit, floral and garrigue aromas pick up a peppery element with air. Offers deep blackberry, kirsch, candied lavender, baking spice flavors and a touch of licorice. Finishes impressively long and spicy, with chewy tannins coming in late. This is still quite youthful and deserves some patience, or at the very least, decanting. 94 points
