The 2020 Saint-Aubin En Montceau 1er Cru has an attractive bouquet with a light cereal grain element. This is what feels like a wine with plenty of extract. It lacks a bit of complexity, but that seems to manifest with aeration. The palate is well-balanced with a ripe and `sunny` entry. It`s a little honeyed in texture and taste, but the acidity keeps this on its toes, and the finish has a welcome spiciness. Maybe not a long-term Saint-Aubin because it`s too enjoyable to drink now! Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. 91 points
