The 2019 Clos Rene is a very beautiful wine. From bottle, the 2019 shows a touch more freshness than it did as a barrel sample. Inky dark fruit, licorice, chocolate, spice and new leather emerge first, followed by a whole range of floral and savory accents that liven things up. The Cabernet Franc is quite expressive. Tasted two times. 93 points
