A high-slope, stony village vineyard above Narvaux and next to a quarry; there’s not much topsoil here for the struggling wines. Tessier’s vines here are between 35-60 years old. Lean in style, with lemon and grapefruit notes, a pithy texture and a bitter-almond finish. Pure and austere, but with great energy. (NT 08/01/20)
