Subtle but not invisible wood serves as a relatively neutral backdrop for the spicy and very ripe aromas of plum liqueur, cassis and violet. There is both fine richness and vibrancy to the delicious middle weight flavors that possess a lovely sense of refinement on the balanced and lingering finish. This attractive effort will need to add a bit more depth to achieve the upper end of my projected range. 88-91 points
