Neal Martin
The 2018 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru has a sweet milk-chocolate-tinged bouquet that just lacks the precision of the Les Bressandes. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite fleshy and forward. I would have liked a little more mineralité toward the finish but this feels svelte and charming. 89-91 points

The 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Grèves displays aromas of cassis, plums, woodsmoke and rich forest floor, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and richly tannic palate that`s a bit more overtly structured at this stage than the corresponding Beaune Bressandes. 90-92 points
