The 2018 Pinot Noir Kershaw Clonal Selection Elgin was aged in 21% new oak with 10% in plastic eggs. It has a compact nose, the fruit profile a touch darker than the Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noir, hints of lingonberry and pomegranate developing with time. The palate is very well balanced with fine-grained tannins and raspberry and cranberry notes infused with a light pinch of white pepper and sea salt, leading to a beautifully poised finish. A divine Pinot Noir. 92 points
