Made from 50 year old vines, the Savigny-Lès-Beaune comes from three parcels that are blended during vinification. One is next to Aloxe and the other two are further north. Savigny has had a run of difficult vintages since 2014 with low yields. There`s reduction - most obvious on the nose, but it doesn`t disguise the red fruit, good presence and very fine tannins. This is a lovely package with a good finish. (CW 4/11/19)
