2018 Jean-Marc Millot Echezeaux
Secondary Description
Domaine Millot Echezaux comes from three parcels: Dessus (70yo), Clos St Denis (40yo) and Poulevilliers. It came in at 14% though there`s no sign of it. It as perfumed and floral, red cherry fruit with just a touch of incense from the oak. This is already very complete-felling and integrated. The texture is very fine and the finish is long. This is equally sublime aromatically though even spicier and with a slightly darker fruit profile. The rich, concentrated and unusually powerful medium weight plus flavors are also relatively refined thanks to the fine grain of the supporting tannins shaping the beautifully lingering and firm finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. 91-94 points

Lots of oak showing on the nose, a full style with plenty of flesh and weight. Lacking some freshness as it is all oak and chewy tannins at the moment. 16 points
