2018 Francois Lumpp Givry A Vigne Rouge

This small premier cru sits bang in the centre of the appellation; Lumpp has three plots here, with vines aged 15, 30 and 40 years respectively. A floral perfume, with darker fruit on show than in the other two Lumpp reds. Impressive, tannic, full-bodied, and also fresh. Lovely structure, buttery aftertaste. Probably the finest of the three Lumpp reds this vintage, though all are distinguished! (NT 10/01/20)
