Flint Vineyard is in south Norfolk in the Waveney Valley and in this sheltered spot Ben Witchell is busy creating a bit of a hotspot for English still table wines. Ben trained at Plumpton, worked in some very interesting wineries around the world and picked out this part of East Anglia as offering the most light. This Bacchus is a little Sauvignon Blanc-like with similar flavours and has grown into its acidity over the last couple of months to make a dry, crisp and zesty mouthful of fresh gooseberry fruit. Delicious! (CW 18/07/19)
