Black fruit but not too dense, nor cooked. Hard to say where this will go, could be very exciting. 91-94 points

The maiden 2018 Corton Les Grandes Lolières Grand Cru includes no whole-bunch fruit and is matured in 100% new oak. It has an intense bouquet of black currant and red currant infused with wilted rose petals and violets. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins and a fine bead of acidity, and the oak feels nicely enmeshed toward the fleshy, confit-like finish, which is quite hedonistic, partly due to 14.8% alcohol. 91-93 points
