Jasper Morris MW
2 barrels from 65 year old vines, 45% whole bunch. The bouquet suggests a bit of sandalwood on top of fresh red fruit. The wood shows a little bit but the whole bunch keeps it fresh. Indeed, I like the freshness of the aftertaste. 90-92 points

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Plantes 1er Cru is the first release from the domaine, from 60-year-old vines whose fruit was hitherto sold off. Raised with 40% whole-bunch fruit, it has an attractive floral bouquet featuring red cherry, wild strawberry and crushed chalk aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, well-judged acidity and a vivid, energetic, sorbet-fresh finish. Superb. Just two barrels this year. 92-94 points
