This is a very limestone soil to the extent that the colour is a little bit lighter and less dense, with a fresh floral nose. 20% whole bunch with 50% new oak which may be over ambitious as it does show on the palate. 87-90 points

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Clos le Village includes 20% whole bunch this year and 50% new oak. At the moment I find that new oak quite dominant on the nose, occluding the terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, and here the new oak is more integrated. Succulent red fruit mingles with white pepper and sage toward the lively finish. Commendable for a Village Cru. 88-90 points

Lifted, almost pine-like note over dusty strawberry and clove. Good density of strawberry balances the fair weight of quite fine tannins. Decent length. Attractive for the medium term. 16 points
