2017 Mauro Estevez Ribeiro

The clean, balanced and aromatic 2017 Mauro Estévez is a little shy and showing some notes of sulphur, as it was only bottled a few months ago and might need a little more time in bottle. But the palate is very fresh, complete, compact and elegant, with great balance and intensity. It has pungent medicinal notes and is intensely balsamic, with Ribeiro typicity of moss and river stones. The palate is dry, and the finish is very long. Delicious and serious. 12,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2018. 92+ points
