2017 Henri Gouges Nuits Blanc La Perriere

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières Blanc 1er Cru, which had already been bottled but will not be sold until September 2019, has a lovely bouquet of freshly squeezed lime, citrus peel and crushed stone. The palate is well balanced with fresh light pear, gooseberry and white pepper notes, gaining weight toward the finish but always quite finessed and poised. 90 points

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru La Perrière Blanc offers up attractive aromas of fresh Anjou pear, wet stones, lemon oil, red apples and pastry cream. On the palate, it`s medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive, with an elegantly textural attack and a notably chalky, phenolic profile that this cuvée always seems to display.
