2017 Bodegas Vinatigo Marmajuelo (Tenerife)

This has lovely floral and stonefruit aromas and flavours with great freshness and minerality. The acidity comes, somewhat counter-intuitively, from the hot vintage; because it meant a very early harvest while the zip and zing were still at their greatest. The mineral quality is pure volcano and salinity. (CW 03/05/19)
