Tank sample. Super-inviting aroma of citrus fruit and something between rocks and spice that is zesty and fragrant. Impressive concentration on the palate. This has depth but a very precise, clean-cut profile on the palate, with really good length.17.5 points

The 2017 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru is clearly the pick from winemaker Charles Ballot this year. It has a wonderful, mineral-rich, tensile bouquet that displays much more energy and conviction than the Genevrières. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, offering orange peel and dried apricot notes, and very long and expansive toward the finish. Superb. 94 points
