2016 Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny Bussieres VV
Secondary Description
This vineyard was planted in 1951 and Anne did a green harvest despite the already reduced crop. It was destemmed and 30% new oak used. The wine has rich, rounded red fruit character in the mouth, again very juicy with good acidity and attack. It is supple with very fine tannins and long. (CW 9/11/17)

Allen Meadows
This presents a brooding and somewhat taciturn nose that is beautifully fresh if not particularly elegant with its array of various dark berries, earth and a whisper of spice. The palate impression of the medium-bodied flavors is also quite rich and seductive as they possess an abundance of dry extract that does a fine job of buffering the lightly stony, firm and somewhat rustic finale. Once again this is not an elegant Chambolle villages but there is no doubting the quality of the underlying material. 88-91 points

Bright crimson. Really quite heady and Chambolle on the nose. Lots of attack and precision. Fruit well in evidence. A seriously good example of 2016’s charms.16.5 points
