Vegan
Deep purple in colour, with visable desity and concentration. The Ponte das Canas has an alluring nose of dried red berries, dates and prunes. There are also rich aromas of dark chocolate and coffee. The palate is very full bodied and weighty with impressive structure. Intense flavours of blackcurrant fruit and spice coat the mouth, along with a touch of black pepper and vanilla. The oak aging has softened the tanins beautifully here; this is a powerful wine but with no hard edges. Drinking well now but will improve over the next 8 years. (05/02/22 DS)
