Jancis Robinson MW
Tannat with Cabernet Sauvignon on slopes with rounded pebbles. Three- to six-week fermentation/maceration and then aged for 12 to 14 months in barriques (80% new). Healthy, not impenetrable crimson. Attractive amalgam of aromas in the ripe, intense Cabernet-family spectrum. Then really quite luscious fruit on the palate with only light grip on the finish. Light meatiness round a firm spine. Very fresh and already broachable – with food. 17 points
