Deep ruby. Aromas of spice-accented dark berries, cola and licorice, lifted by a floral nuance . Smooth and appealingly sweet, offering pliant blackberry and boysenberry flavors that tighten up slowly on the back half. Shows very good clarity and persistence on the finish, which features velvety tannins and a late jolt of smoky minerality. 91 Points

In addition to his Cornas releases, Paris releases a terrific St Joseph. The inky black-colored 2015 Saint Joseph les Côtes was completely destemmed and aged in a mix of tank and barrels. It offers a gorgeous perfume of violets, black and blue fruits, pepper and hints of mint in a full-bodied, layered and elegant style. The tannin quality here is beautiful, it has top-notch purity and a great finish. 92 points
