Podere Sante Marie
Aromas of red apple and old books, with a hint of earth, and then dried cherries emeshed in allspice and clove. The palate is soft and remarkably elegant for a warm vintage; a hint of liquorice enhances the melange of red fruit and the finish carries a note of varnish amidst soft, resolved tannin - fabulous Brunello, drinking beautifully, with potential remaining.
