The 2014 Zind is a Vin de Table composed of two-thirds Chardonnay and one-third Auxerrois fermented in a big oak cask. It opens with a clear yet still a bit reductive, slightly smoky bouquet of ripe fruits. Medium-bodied but intense and with a firm structure, this Zind has a very nice and piquant acidity lifting the ripe and concentrated fruit. This is a characterful, very food-friendly white with an attractive grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Still young, the 2014 Zind will benefit from further bottle ageing. Moderate alcohol of 12.13%. 89 points

Bright straw-green. Aromas and flavors of honeyed quince and unripe banana, kicked up a notch by hints of sweet spices. Finishes clean and crisp. The oak is less evident than in recent vintages, and this also tastes drier than usual (only 3.7 g/L residual sugar contrasted with a relatively high 6.6 g/L total acidity and very low pH of 3.1), especially when compared to the 2011 and 2012. 89 points
