2014 V Dureuil-Janthial Rully Blanc Maizieres

Vincent says this is always the first vineyard to be picked. It is an early ripener and works well in warm vintages. In fact his favourite vintage from here is 2003. In 2014 the Rully Maizieres shows ripe orange flavours with penetrating fruit and freshness. There is richness here and purity, with less than 20% new oak. (CW 4/11/15)
