The 2014 Jean-Marc Boillot Puligny 1er cru Les Referts is very chalky throughout, on nose and finish, but the middle is pure fruit. There is restrained oak and this was clearly picked for balanced acidity and that vibrant Seville fruit. Delicious, which is fast becoming a theme at this tasting. (CW 2/11/15)

Typical of the high quality of the whites from this Pommard-based domaine, this is a particularly fine, well structured Les Referts showing a combination of stone fruit sweetness, with stylish oak, some gunflint reduction and crunchy, mouth-watering acidity. Drink 2018-26. 94 points
