2014 Chapoutier Ermitage Le Meal Blanc

This sample of the 2014 Chapoutier Ermitage Le Meal white was slightly reductive and smokey but ripe and full of fruit. The character is entirely Marsanne, it`s juicy and floral and ripe in the mouth with honeyed overtones. This vineyard is picked early and sits on granite like that in the best parts of St-Joseph. The soil is predominately granite with a little loess and limestone. CW 19/05/15)
