This comes mostly from vines in Meursault and Puligny, where Charles is replacing some of the Pinot Noir with Chardonnay, so the vines are mostly less than ten years old. On opening, the 2014 Ballot-Millot Bourgogne Blanc is quiet on the nose but with air opens up nicely. This has a sweet/sour style of acidity and is a pure, zesty white of great value. (CW 3/11/15)
