(100% stainless steel). Bright yellow with green highlights. Musky aromas of crushed stone, lime and spearmint; strongly chalky. Juicy and tight in the mouth, with lemon zest and peach flavors a bit hardened on the back end by elevated CO2. This wine, and most of the following samples, had not yet been filtered at the beginning of June. Finishes with good grip. 88-90 points

Droin`s 2013 Chablis Vosgros is one of the most polished wines I have tasted from this 1er Cru vineyard, where the wines are usually quite a bit more burly. Yellow stone fruits, mint, anise and wild flowers blossom in a textured, totally inviting Chablis loaded with personality and character. There is a sense of immediacy in the Vosgros that is impossible to resist, even at this early stage. 90-92 points

It would be all but impossible to mistake the nose for anything else but Chablis with its mineral reduction, flint, petrol and ocean breeze aromas. There is fine richness and volume displayed b y the medium-bodied flavors that possess good intensity and minerality on the dry, complex and lingering finish. As is virtually always the case, this isn`t nearly as refined as the Vaucoupin but there is more size, weight and punch. 89-92 points
