Stephen Tanzer
Pale greenish yellow. Apple, lime and lemon zest on the nose and palate. Youthfully taut today, with white pepper and crushed stone elements intensifying the zesty fruit and lifting the mid-palate. Good dense premier cru with finishing notes of pepper and spices. 89-90 points
Antonio Galloni
Citrus notes abound in the 2013 Chablis Vaucoupin. Bright and medium in body, the Vaucoupin shows lovely energy, with hints of almond, white flowers and mint that add layers of complexity. Expressive floral notes reappear on the finish, adding dimension and lift. This is another pretty wine in a series of super-impressive 2013s from Droin. 90-92 points
Allen Meadows
An elegant, cool and airy nose features wisps of tidal pool, iodine, lemon peel and soft floral aromas. Here too there is good density present on the mineral-infused mid-palate along with fine detail, all wrapped in a clean, dry and complex finish that displays a hint of petrol. A wine of finesse. 89-92 points
