(38% new). Pale yellow-green. Lime zest, chlorophyll and sexy oak spices on the nose; smells denser than the Blanchot and Vaudesir. Dense, ripe and pliant, showing good weight and palate presence to the flavors of citrus fruit, white flowers and lichee. Still a bit youthfully aggressive (this wine is from younger vines) but really saturates the palate on the slightly warm, minerally finish. 89-92 points

An opulently ripe but not really exotic nose offers up attractively fresh nose of green fruit, white peach and again smoky notes that are trimmed in enough wood to notice. This is impressively powerful and particularly so for such young vines as there is an abundance of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine on the strikingly long and well-balanced finish. This is a big Valmur that isn`t particularly refined but it is certainly imposing. 92-94 points
