Elaine Chukan Brown
Featuring alpine cherry, a touch of almond, and Chinese five-spice this wine also carries inky accents. With taut nerve, and good tension, there is a lot of structure to the Failla Estate Pinot. Give it some air upon opening to allow its flavours to uncurl. 17.5 points
Antonio Galloni
Crushed flowers, sweet red berries, mint and spices lift from the glass in the 2013 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast). Savory and floral notes add nuance on the ethereal, somewhat fleeting finish. This mid-weight, young-vines Pinot is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. 88 points
