2013 Ballot-Millot Bourgogne Chardonnay

Charles Ballot has spent the years since he took the reins here renovating the vineyards after executing a thorough survey of them. He has also changed the cellar aoround and all this has led to a considerable improvement over the last 10 years. This is Meursault fruit with ageing in older barrels and has zingand complexity. There is mandarine, peach, good acidity and a fine grip, which all go to make this a beguiling wine and a great introduction to the domaine. (CW 15/06/17)
