Moving to the 2012s, Daniel Brunier loves this vintage, although he comments that he doesn`t believe it’s not a great vintage. The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape Telegramme hit a whopping 15.2% natural alcohol and has a supple, textured and ready-to-go feel. Giving up loads of sweet cherry, leather, licorice and floral aromas and flavors, it’s ideal for drinking over the coming 4-6 years. 88 points

Deep ruby. Aromas of ripe red berries, cherry skin, lavender and smoky minerals, with a sexy spicecake nuance building in the glass. Juicy and seamless on the palate, with sweet raspberry and floral pastille flavors showing very good depth and energy. Clings nicely on the long, spice-tinged finish, which features supple tannins and an echo of raspberry liqueur. 92 points
