2012 Furst Spatburgunder Klingenberger

Bright ruby-red. Cool aromas of black cherry, licorice and wild herbs lifted by a note of violet. Denser than the village-level Pinot Noir from Bürgstadt and showing more intensity to its black raspberry fruit. Still conveys a slightly minty character, but has sufficient structure to keep it serious. Finishes elegant and long, with slightly peppery tannins. 89 points
