2012 Chapoutier St-Joseph Les Granits Blanc

Secondary Description
100% Marsanne on granite. There`s a really precise acid spine to this, though more mineral than acidic. Not as fruity as some vintages but there`s density, viscosity and to be pretentious - materiel. There`s a long rhubarb and liquid stone finish. One of the best of these that I`ve tasted. (CW 03/06/13)

100% Marsanne on granite. Low level of sulphur and as late as possible. They keep as much carbon dioxide as possible to protect whites. Lightly honeyed nose. Very broad almost fat palate with considerable gas dissolved in the wine. Even a slightly bitter note of coffee grounds. Not quite as luscious as some other vintages. Drink 2014-2018. 16 points
