2012 Chapoutier Ermitage Le Meal Blanc
Secondary Description
The first white Ermitage we taste and there`s a big step up from St-Joseph. It`s bigger, bolder, vinous and certainly more mineral on nose and palate. There`s more structure too, both in the form of grip and a lovely bitter twist on the end that acts as a counterpoint to the herby, greengage and rhubarb fruit. (CW 03/06/13)

Secondary sediment. Refined, stony nose. Fine `green` notes on the nose. Muscular, almost oily finish with some alcohol. Drink 2016-2023. 16.5 points
