A fine terroir needs to be validated, but in some appellations the growers lack ambition and resources. Not here. This displays a rich, powerful blackberry nose. It’s full-bodied, suave and velvety, concentrated without being excessively extracted. Yet it has density, grip and structure, and a spicy, complex finish. Very long. 90 points
