The 2012 Tempranillo Blanco smells of ripe yellow fruit in a very intense nose. It clearly has more acidity than the red Tempranillo, and many think this is a grape with great future in Rioja, especially in cold years. It has great length, volume and persistence. This is produced from young vines, as no old white Tempranillo exist, and it will be fascinating to see both how wines develop when plants get older and how this wine evolves in bottle. Drink 2014-2018. 93 points
