2011 Terredora Aglianico Irpinia (Campania)

Secondary Description
Another variety brought with them by those ancient Greeks, Aglianico is a lovely and savoury variety making full bodied wines which work very well in the harsh winters in the mountains in Campania as well as they do in a British spring. Packed with damson and black olives, this fruity and meaty wine is complex and rich and will accompany the herbiest, spiciest sausage as well as hoggett or wild boar. (CW 11/09/14)
