Robert Parker
Always excellent, occasionally outstanding, this over-achieving Fronsac is consistently well-made regardless of vintage conditions. The 2011 possesses a dense ruby/purple color, floral, blueberry and black raspberry notes, a hint of crushed rock, medium body, good acidity, sweet tannin and a well-endowed finish. It builds incrementally, and should be even better with 1-2 years of bottle age. A sleeper of the vintage, it should last 10-15 years, possibly longer. 88 points

Dark purplish crimson. Discreet but deliciously suave and fruity nose. Fat entry with delicate fruit then unfurling layers of aromas on the impeccably structured and savoury palate. Generously fat and ethereal at the same time. Spicy long finish with tasty and unbelievably well-coated tannins. A beauty - by Jean-Noël Hervé. 88-89 points
