Like all of the Zoltan wines the Boda is rich and on first taste you may think a little over the top. But decant and you will find that the wine tightens up with a little air and the richness is leavened by emerging salty minerality. The flavours are ripe apple spice with quince and herb notes. The texture is palate-coating and the initial effect is that of slipping into the most expensive silken bedlinen. The luxury feel is soon stiffened with a little discipline from the afore-mentioned minerality. The finish is long and happy and this wine lasts for days once opened. (CW 17/10/17)
