The junior and delicious wine in the Alfieri range, this is a serious, structured, but easily accessible and hugely enjoyable wine from Piedmont. Barbera may be considered a workhorse grape, but is capable of achieving high levels of quality and is an excellent and versatile matcher with food. (CW 29/08/14)
